 Sunday October 5, 2025Cheng Man Ching Form and Pushing Hands Workshop
 
 We are excited to welcome three outstanding teachers form Cheng Man-Ching's linage in Taiwan. Master Fu Zhong-Hsiang and his two sons,Fu Guo-GuiThis one-day workshop proposes to cover:and Fu Kian-Chieh (Jay) will present important concepts that relate to the Cheng Man-Ching 37 form and Push-Hands practice.
 Each of the presenters has studied and trained with many of Professor'sindoor disciples, including Grandmaster Benjamin Lo (Lo Pang Jeng),
 Grandmaster Ju Hon-Bing, Grandmaster Hsu Yi-Jung and Grandmaster Liu Xi-Heng.
 Jay is currectly the Push-Hands coach and teacher at Professor's famous Shr-Jung school in Taipei, Taiwan.
 - The relationship between Form Practice and Push-Hands Training.
 - Structural training in stillness and motion, as illustrated in Cloud-Hands, Repulse Monkey and Single Whip, etc.
 - Sensory training in solo practice, including Join Relaxation and Sinking Energy.
 - Partner practice including Single-Hand and Double-Hand Sensing Hands and the Seven Movements Drill.
 - Integration of Jin trainng, to include Receiving Energy (Jie Jin) and Issuing Power (Fa Jin)
      We expect this workshop to be filled up fast, so please register early if you want to attend. Space is limited.
 The workshop will be five hours of instruction and practice with a 90 minutes lunch break.

 November 02 & 03, 2024Tai Chi Workshop with Teacher Wu Rong-Huei from Taiwan
 
 In order to gain the maximum health benefit and functional martial skills, your tai chi form has to follow the Tai Chi principles.Relevant Taoist concepts from Lao Tzu and Chueng Zu will be covered, along with a discussion of the principles of Yin/Yang balance and the I Ching.Teacher Wu will demonstrate the ten Tai Chi principles required to make the form correct and offer simple exercises to help you get the principles into your form practice. 
       Professor Cheng Man-Ching described three profound qualities that make up the essence of Tai Chi Chuan; No arms in Tai Chi, Beautiful lady's hand and invest in loss. 
       Teacher Wu will discuss the importance of these three qualities and how to make them a part of your daily practice. Tai Chi does not use brute force.
       By developong sensing skills and an understanding of energy you can control your opponent's force before it becomes a problem.
 We will explore several fundamental push-hands drills that will help broadoen our understanding of Yin/ Yang exchange and use of chi instead of force.
       Mr. Wu is an expert in Tai Chi and Taoist philosophy.  He has won over 20 gold medals in international competition and was a reigning push-hands champion
 for ten consecutive Years. He is a well-respected Tai Chi teacher. Coach and judge in Taiwan.  He holds a Master's degree in Physical Education with special emphasis 
       on Tai Chi Chuan. In addition to running a large school in Taiwan Mr. Wu also gives workshop in China, Europe and North America.

 Bethesda, MD. We are very honored to host a workshop with Master William C. C. Chen, a direct student of Professor Cheng Man-ching.  As a true, indoor disciple, Master Chen lived with the Professor throughout his early training.With more than seven decades of experience and development, Mr. Chen is not only a master of the art of Tai Chi Chuan,but also and expert teacher.
 He shares his knowledge clearly and with an enthusiasm that is contagious.
 Master Chen presents Tai Chi Chuan from his own, unique perspective, allowing students to gain a deeper and clearer understanding of the methodsand principles that underlie the tai chi form and push-hands.

 A New Tai Chi Court is being built in Redding, California ---
 Inspired by the David C Chen Memorial Tai Chi Court in Maryland, a California Tai Chi group has completed the final
       approval stage to build a new Tai Chi Court in Redding, CA. The "Redding Tai Chi Meditation Garden" will be located 
       next to the Sundial Bridge - a pedestrian bridge over the Sacramento River. This is such a beautiful project.
