Our Tai Chi class is always peaceful and meditative. Various classes are offered in Washington DC area.


WEDNESDAY evenings (Main classes)

At Lakewood Elementary School in Rockville.
2534 Lindley Terrace, Rockville, MD 20850
(Off Wootton Parkway.)

Instructor: Joanne Chang (senior teacher of Wu Wei Tai Chi School)

* 7:00pm to 8:30pm --- Fundamental class.
For beginners and continuing students.
Studying Cheng Man-ching style traditional Tai Chi solo form.

* 8:30pm to 10:00pm --- Development class.
For continuing students.
Studying Tai Chi Posture Corrections, Applications, Push-Hands, and Sword Form.

Fee: $330 for a 6-month membership, one 90-minute class per week.
  Or, $20 per visit. On-going classes year round and new students are welcome anytime.

Taiwan/USA Tai Chi Cultural Exchange ---
May 19th 2018

The David Chen Foundation is pleased to announce a Picnic and Tai Chi Cultural Exchange at the Tai Chi Court in Cabin John Park on May 19th from 10-6PM. The event will include form demonstration from area schools, discussion of Tai Chi theory and push hands practice. Best of all, we will be joined by a team of 36 teaches, coaches and top students visiting from Taiwan. The team is made up of leaders from different schools from all over Taiwan and includes several champions in Push-hands competition. This is a very rare opportunity to share, learn and contrast your understanding with top player from Taiwan. The event is free, donít miss it!

The event also includes a pot luck picnic, please bring a dish or contribute to the cost of food. There are a limited number of slots available for presenters to demonstrate the solo practice. If you are interested in demonstrating a unique form, please contact Charles (Charles@wuweitaichi.com or Joanne (joanne@wuweitaichi.com).

Taiwan/USA Tai Chi Cultural Exchange Workshop ---
May 20th, 2018

This event is a follow-up to our Saturday park event for those that want to go deeper into the Tai Chi training. We will have hands on training with instruction from several senior teachers from Taiwan along with practice with their top students. This is a rare opportunity to practice with many skilled players. This event will focus on two person drills and push-hands practice. No need to take off work and fly to Taiwan, just join us for the day.

We will provide more details about this event in the next publication. Space for this event is limited, please reserve your spot early. Cost for the event is only $85 with pre-registration before 5/14/2018 or $110 at the door, if space is available.

A New Tai Chi Court is being built in Redding, California ---

Inspired by the David C Chen Memorial Tai Chi Court in Maryland, a California Tai Chi group has completed the final approval stage to build a new Tai Chi Court in Redding, CA. The "Redding Tai Chi Meditation Garden" will be located next to the Sundial Bridge - a pedestrian bridge over the Sacramento River. This is such a beautiful project. If you can spare $20 or $100 or $500, please show your generosity and make a tax deductible contribution to this wonderful project. If you ever needed an excuse to visit beautiful northern California or pay less taxes, this is it.
